A day at the Harbour

September is a big month in the interior design calendar.  It marks the launch of new fabrics and wall coverings to the market and plays host to an exhibition, Decorex, at Syon Park for numerous  soft furnishings, furniture, lighting and accessories suppliers.  It's the best reason to visit Chelsea Harbour Design Centre for the day, to absorb the energy and buzz around the new collections.  Four floors of showrooms, the hospitality is in full flow, and the drinks and nibbles are plentiful!

Here are a few of the delights we discovered.

MANUEL CANOVAS' colourful palette and pictoral designs are as always good fun and a bold interior statement.  The cultural handbags are a great way to express a love of travel in this worldly inspired wallpaper.

Check out these striking carpet designs.

Out with the neutral loop piles.... pattern is so this year!

ZOFFANY's new collection particularly stood out to us, where we found these rich textures, precious metallic colour palettes and a very intricate wall covering picturing a detailed map of the city.

The wallpaper below caught our eye as one that we'd love to feature in the new showroom.... it features the colours that Jo Frances Ltd is so known well for, and equally sits with muted greys and whites of the modern interior.  Look how well it sits with traditional florals and damasks; it would work equally as well with plains and metallics.  We love its versatility.

And for anyone who loves the tactility of a tassel or two.....  just look at this giant tassel chandelier hanging in the atrium.  So eye catching and a reminder of the opulence we are surrounded by.

We had a super day catching up with our wonderful area reps and seeing some familiar faces.  Feeling inspired, we are ready to put some of the collections to use and feature some of the gorgeous products we have been introduced to.

Exciting.
